In addition to individual case supervision, the following didactic seminars and conferences are offered to the child psychiatry fellow. There is a reading seminar in child psychopathology and child development offered over the two years of the fellowship-training period and a Therapeutic Modalities Seminar offered annually. There is a continuous case conference one hour a month. There are also monthly conferences in forensic psychiatry and child psychopharmacology. The forensic seminar is co-led by Diane Schetky, a faculty member with a national reputation in child forensic psychiatry. We offer a family diagnostic evaluation and therapy conference every week. There is also a pediatric consultation and liaison conference, which is required for fellows as they rotate through the pediatric consultation service. The departmental grand rounds and residents' Journal Club in which child psychiatry fellows participate, and also a series of tutorials in research design, school consultation, and psychological testing. Approximately once a year a joint daylong symposium is held in conjunction with Dartmouth Medical School.
