The Maine Heart Center is a nonprofit organization with hospitals throughout southern and central Maine dedicated to delivering superior care in cardiac services. In partnership with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and anesthesiologists, the Maine Heart Center network offers open-heart surgery, angioplasty, cardiac catheterizations and other cardiac procedures.

Maine Medical Center, our flagship hospital, has been named one of the top 100 cardiovascular programs in the United States. The physicians of the Maine Heart Center network benefit from the shared knowledge and experience gained by participating in a high-volume cardiac network but, because there is a significant statistical correlation between good outcomes and high volume, the patients are the ultimate beneficiaries.

Most diagnostic and treatment services are available at all MHC hospitals, with advanced cardiac procedures available at Maine Medical Center.
