Program Overview

Joint Replacement CenterAn integrated team approach to caring for patients at the Joint Replacement Center leads to improved outcomes, faster recovery and high patient satisfaction. Joint replacement patients also benefit from having a dedicated space on Bean 2 with the joint replacement operating rooms, pre- and post-operative spaces, family waiting area, and therapy gym all in the same place. Using a collaborative approach, the center's care team work together to provide concentrated care focused on the best outcome for each patient.

Patients and their families work with the care team in setting goals for recovery, reviewing the care plan and tailoring it to meet patient's individual needs. The patient-and-family-focused setting leads to better prepared and educated patients who are able to return home soon after surgery. The Joint Replacement Center team is well skilled in providing safe, evidence-based care that leads to excellent patient outcomes.

Gym-Based Rehabilitation

The Joint Replacement Center has a dedicated therapy gym near patients' rooms. Patients are encouraged to dress in their own workout clothing, such as a t-shirt, sweatpants or shorts, and sneakers. Patients can take full advantage of their therapy time by dressing comfortably and being ready to begin therapy when they arrive at the therapy gym.
