Robert Trowbridge, MD, is the Director of the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship and the Course Director for the Maine Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine Maine Track Orientation and the Community-based Apprenticeship in Primary Care. He is also Co-Director of the Introduction to Clinical Reasoning course at Tufts.
After receiving his undergraduate degree at Colgate University, he completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He underwent residency training in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center and remained on staff there at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Medical Center for several years. Following three years in the Public Health Service on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico, he returned to California and completed a fellowship in Hospital Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
He joined the staff at Maine Medical Center in 2002. He remains clinically active as a hospitalist and also serves as Clerkship Director and Director of Faculty Development for the Department of Medicine.
