Why family medicine: I really enjoy dermatology and procedures, maternal-child health, geriatrics and home visits, inpatient and outpatient work, and preventive health… leaving my options for training in these areas “limited” to family medicine!

Why MMC: I was looking for a small/medium sized program with a variety of learning opportunities, a strong sense of camaraderie, and a learning track with women’s health.

Favorite things about Portland: The many, many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. I love that it is close to lakes and the ocean and also close to bigger cities like Boston.

Medical interests: Maternal-child health, obstetrics, integrative medicine

Personal interests: Camping, kayaking, water and cross-country skiing, sleeping!, and seeing family

If not a doctor, you’d be: A photographer or kindergarten teacher

Secret talent: Slalom water-skiing

Best place you’ve lived: Nice, France

Favorite Portland restaurant: Pai Men Miyake

Favorite sports team: Ohio State Buckeyes
