Maine Medical Explorers Post
Medical Explorers is a nationwide program offering a variety of activities designed to encourage high school age students (grade 9-12) interest in health care. Activities include guest speakers, group discussion, lectures, question and answer sessions and hands-on projects. In addition, the program offers networking and mentorship. Areas of emphasis include health care careers, life skills, community service, character development and leadership experience. MMC is pleased to offer the first Maine Medical Explorers in southern Maine. The quality and growth of this program depends on its students, we encourage you to join!
Most Medical Explorer meetings are held Wednesday evenings from 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM throughout the school year at the Dana Health Education Center at MMC in Portland. Learn more about our bylaws and procedures.
If you are interested in joining Maine Medical Explorer Post #22, come to any meeting throughout the year. Prior to attending a meeting, please fill out the Application Form. Please have a check or money order payable to 'The Pine Tree Council' for $15.00. Please do not send or bring cash.
