Secure and easy!

MaineHealthLink is a web portal for MaineHealth physicians and staff. MaineHealthLink enhances physician/patient relationships by helping local healthcare systems deliver secure, interactive patient care. It offers a single point of access to patient information, secure messaging, e-mail, knowledge databases, clinical and administrative applications, reference sites, insurance data and much more.

MaineHealthLink offers secure web-based access to many MMC clinical systems;  Sunrise Clinical Manager (MMC's patient care system), Sunrise Record Manager (MMC's medical records system) and PACS (radiology images and reports) to physicians from home, from the office, while traveling or from any PC with Internet access.  Access is also provided to Meditech, the clinical system used by other MaineHealth hospitals. Many other departmental applications are also available.

The Clinical Data Repository; the MaineHealth Physicians' single location for clinical data!

CDR access is available to Physicians and Allied Health staff credentialed at a MaineHealth member hospital at this time. The CDR houses inpatient clinical data such as lab results, transcribed documents and radiology reports from some of the MaineHealth member hospitals; Maine Medical Center, Miles Medical Center, St. Andrews Hospital, and Stephens Memorial Hospital.

As area physician groups start using the MaineHealth Epic EMR in their practices, ambulatory data from their sites will also populate the CDR. There are 10 primary care sites live as of May 2009, with 10 more planned by the end of the year. This data will include; Medications, Allergies, Problem lists, Histories, Visit notes and Ambulatory lab results.

There is an InBasket activity which allows secure messaging with fellow Physicians. New transcribed documents for your patients are also sent to your InBasket for your convenience.

Emergency Room physicians, Hospitalists and Specialty group physicians will find the access to this additional clinical data very useful in the treatment of patients. Imagine having access to both the inpatient and ambulatory records of the patients you see, knowing accurate current meds and allergies, relevant history and lab results… all in one place!

Practices that are waiting to implement the MaineHealth Epic EMR can familiarize themselves with the look and feel and landscape of the EMR by accessing MHLink.   The MHLink CDR utilizes the same architecture and features such as In Basket communication and the comfort and familiarity you gain with the use of the CDR is fully transferable to MH Epic.
