Can I see my doctor/provider via televideo?
At this time, only a limited number of physicians are using televideo, but use is increasing each month. Connection is usually between providers in the Portland area to physicians in more rural areas, not to patients at home. Use is expanding rapidly, and there will be a greater capacity allowing some patients to be seen at home in the future.

How does televideo work?
There are a variety of ways for televideo to work. The easiest way is via the Internet, using two computers, each of which has a camera with a built-in microphone.

If I am involved in a televideo session, is it private?
Yes. MaineHealth and all of its members take privacy very seriously; MaineHealth follows all industry and federal requirements for televideo privacy.

How do I find out what is available in my area?
For questions about telemedicine at MaineHealth, contact Lyn Suggs at (207) 661-7136 or via e-mail
