Ellsworth Internal Medicine

All practitioners with Ellsworth Internal Medicine are board-certified internists, certified physician assistants, and nurses. They enjoy caring for the full range of adult medical needs including preventive care items such as annual wellness exams, pap smears, and school physicals for adolescents age 13 and above. Patients range in age from adolescents to the elderly.  Medical practitioners also care for patients in the hospital, the emergency room, and at local nursing homes.  Ellsworth Internal Medicine opened in 1981 and since that time they have served thousands of patients.

Richard LaRocco, MD is a graduate of SUNY Medical School, Downstate Medical Center.  he then completed an Internal Medicine residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Greenwich Village, NY.  He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and has practiced primary care Internal Medicine for over 20 years, with a bent toward a family practice style.  Having worked closely with Family Practice physicians and having completed a sub-internship in Pediatrics, he has been very interested in the treatment of multiple generations within families.

Peter Ossanna, MD is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and did his Internal Medicine training at the University of Michigan Hospitals.  He is a primary care internist with a busy office and inpatient practice.  Special areas of interest include hematology, oncology, and the care of patients with HIV.

Kathryn Rensenbrink, MD graduated from the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco.  After an internship at the San Francisco General Hospital, she completed her training in Internal Medicine at Maine Medical Center.  Dr. Rensenbrink's interests are in primary care Internal Medicine and issues special to women's health care.  She is an enthusiastic preceptor who enjoys working with students and residents.

Patricia Wyshak, MD is a graduate of the University of California at Davis Medical School.  She completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, after which she spent two years working in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center.  In Ellsworth, she focuses on primary care and because of her considerable experience in a teaching hospital, she looks forward to working with students and residents.

Laurie Yntema, MD is a graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine.  She joined Ellsworth Internal Medicine after completing her Internal Medicine residency at Maine Medical Center in 1998.  Dr. Yntema has particular interest in preventive medicine and public health and also enjoys the wide range of primary care medicine seen in her office.
