About the Maine Transplant Program
The Transplant Program at Maine Medical Center is a member of the United Network for Organ Sharing, and offers both deceased and living donor kidney transplant services. It is not a requirement that a potential recipient be a resident of the state of Maine. Our success rates are considered among the best in the US with a one year patient survival rate of over 95%, and a one year graft survival rate of greater than 90%. More detailed information about our program can be found at the website of the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, which maintains transplant statistics for the United States. Specific information about our program can be found here .
The program also offers whole pancreas transplantation to our patients.
