MMC radiologists frequently care for children and do everything possible to make both the child and the parents comfortable throughout any procedure. Through the use of state-of-the-art equipment, many tests can be performed without the need for sedation.

When necessary, sedation is available. MMC provides children with the following diagnostic testing services:

• Ultrasound 
• CT scan 
• MRI 
• Fluoroscopy, including GI (gastrointestinal) and GU (genitourinary/VCUG) studies

Availability 
Pediatric radiology services are available at the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center at our Main Campus on the Western Promenade in Portland. The images can be viewed by a Pediatric Radiologist at any MMC location using our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
