Our Palliative Care Services

The members of our Pain and Palliative Care team are expert in care related to symptom management.  We will work with your doctor and primary care team to help meet your needs.

How might we help?

We will work with you, your doctors, and your nurses by:

  • Supporting you, your family, and caregivers in the decisions you make about your care.
  • Working with your doctors and nurses to recognize and treat early symptoms that affect your quality of life.
  • Helping you and your loved ones understand your illness, know what to expect, and understand your treatment options.
  • Managing pain with medications and other methods.
  • Lessening distressing symptoms such as breathing difficulties, nausea and loss of appetite, bowel and bladder problems, confusion and anxiety, and other physical problems.
  • Advocating the best possible quality of life for you during your illness.
  • Helping you and your family make adjustments in your treatment if your illness worsens.
  • Making recommendations aimed at improving the quality of your life.
  • Helping you and your family find resources to help manage the costs of care, loss of income, unreimbursed healthcare needs, and other expenses.
  • Providing emotional and spiritual support when needed.
