Please contact your case manager or the employment specialist in your area to obtain additional information.
The Community Employment Services Project, begun in January 2008, is a project funded by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services Office of Substance Abuse and Maine Health Services. In July 2010, the Maine Department of Labor, Bureau of Rehabilitation Services joined DHHS-SAMHS in its support to the project.
The primary aim of the project is to provide Supported Employment and Education services to individuals eligible for Section 17 MaineCare services (community integration) throughout the state of Maine. Seven Employment Specialists work in a mental health host agency located in each Community Service Network (CSN) throughout the state, and are supervised by one full time and one part time Project Coordinator. The goal of the project is to increase the rates of employment and education attainment for individuals with mental illness.
