Maine Medical Center hosts a variety of support groups each month. Most groups meet within the hospital’s Dana Health Education Center at 22 Bramhall Street in Portland or at the hospital’s campus at 100 U.S. Route 1 in Scarborough.
Meeting dates and times may vary. For more information, call the program contact numbers listed below or the Social Work Department at (207) 662-2261 and ask to speak with the contact person for that group.
If the groups listed do not meet your needs, the MMC Social Work staff can also assist in identifying other support groups at MMC or in the community which might be more helpful. Please call (207) 662-2261 for more information. View a list of support groups.
The MMC Parent Education Program offers an extensive curriculum of pregnancy and parenting classes to support you during pregnancy and beyond. Whether you’re getting ready for the birth of your first child or are an experienced parent, you’ll learn from our certified staff how not only to prepare for the birth of your child, but how to enjoy every moment of the experience.
