About the Urology Program

Urologists with Outstanding Experience and Expertise

Patients sitting with a physicianMaine Medical Center has the largest and most experienced urologic team in northern New England.  Our urologists complement each other in specialty training and areas of clinical focus.  This gives patients access to a full range of urologic experts, including Maine’s only fellowship-trained specialists in pediatric urology, urologic oncology, and urologic robotic surgery.

As part of an academic medical center, our urologists are also actively engaged in clinical research and teaching.  This positions us on the leading edge of urologic treatment advances, giving our patients access to world-class care, close to home.

Clinical Care

The Maine Medical Center Urology Program incorporates the many subspecialties involved in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with urologic disorders. This ensures a comprehensive continuum of care for patients that is strengthened by the multidisciplinary collaboration on which the program is built. Patients receive coordinated care that is standardized to evidence-based, best-practice guidelines to ensure optimal outcomes.  The specialty areas that make up the Urology Program include:

  • Pediatric urology
  • Kidney stones
  • Urologic cancers such as prostate, kidney, and bladder
  • Urinary incontinence for men and women
  • Men’s Health, such as infertility, erectile dysfunction, and vasectomy
