Dr. Sepulveda has an interest in Ambulatory OB/GYN, Womens healthcare across cultures/cultural competency, evidence based medicine and quality improvement.

Dr. Sepulveda's family consists of her husband, and eight children, two who have recently graduated college and one son still in college.  The five younger children are still at home and are home educated . Her outside interests include music, museums, outdoor activities (hiking, camping, canoeing) and reading.

Kalli reads voraciously, has a large organic garden and a large collection of sea glass.  She is married to Sean who is an environmental engineer and drummer.  She has three children, Grady, Declan and Madeleine, who play guitar, cello, piano, and tuba!

Julia Brock, M.D. joined MMC faculty in August, 2013 after practicing obstetrics and gynecology for 11 years in Burlington, Vermont.  In Vermont, she founded a private practice and integrative health clinic, and more recently focused her practice on minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

Dr. Pinette lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife who is also a physician and is head of the Maine Centers for Disease Control.  They have 5 children.  

Joseph Wax, MD

Dr. Wax is one of the senior reseachers in the division of MFM.  He also serves as a National Board examiner for the American Board of Ob/Gyn.

Dr. Litton joined the staff at Maine Medical Center in 2013. He lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and two young children. He enjoys skiing, hiking, cooking and outdoor activities.

Dr. Hunt grew up in Portland, Maine, where she resides once more - this time with husband (an artist / home-dad) and son. Dr. Hunts interests are many but include caring for and learning about women whose culture is different from her own, especially disenfranchised women. Outside of obgyn, she is an avid reader and filmgoer.

Candice Dersch, MD

Dr. Dersch received degrees in anthropology and zoology.  She completedthree years of virology research before attending medical school.  She has a special interest in international medicine.  Dr. Dersch lives in Portland and enjoys reading, movies, and travel in her spare time.

Dr. Soultanakis joined the staff at Maine Medical Center in 2013 as the director of the division of gynecologic oncology.

Dr. Tarraza is an avid New England Patriots fan and his hobbies include boating and skiing.

Dr. Small lives in Cape Elizabeth with her husband who is also an internist and their two children. Her hobbies include swimming, reading and the outdoors. She has a passion for Red Sox baseball.

Dr. Darus lives in Portland with his wife and their son and young daughter. Dr. Darus won the 2008 Excellence in Teaching Award.  Dr. Darus is responsible for the research oversight in the division of Gyn Oncology. 

Division of Reproductive Endocrinology

Daniel Spratt, MDDaniel I. Spratt, M.D.

Dr. Spratt is the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division at MMC. He also oversees the resident research program. Dr. Spratt grew up in California and graduated from Stanford University before attending University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Spratt's received his fellowship training in the Stanford and Massachusetts General Hospital programs. He is currently involved in teaching, patient care, and research with a lab at MMCRI. Dr. Spratt actively conducts and publishes research studies and holds leadership positions in the Endocrine Society. When not working at MMC, Dr. Spratt enjoys outdoor activities, music, running, reading, and eating with his wife and their two daughters. 

Division of Urogynecology

Mary Brandes, MDMary Brandes, M.D.

Residency - Maine Medical Center

Dr. Brandes is the Division Director for Urogyecology. She and her husband have a daughter in college and a 20 year old son. Her hobbies include coach/umpire field hockey, painting, any thing to do with sports, hiking, running, golf.

Dr. Grigorescu is originally from Romania. He moved here from the New York area with his wife, and their two young children where they enjoy the best that life in Maine can offer. Dr. Grigorescu enjoys outside interests in tennis, cycling, skiing and soccer.
