  • Dr. Florman presented a study on "Cervicore Disc Repalcement vs. Fusion: Correlation of Patient Employment Status with Clinical Outcomes" at the World Federation of Neurological Surgery meeting. At this meeting, Dr. Florman along with Drs.Travis Dumont and Lee Thibodea, gave a poster presentation on a unique technique to repair skull defects. - September 2009

  • Cervical Spine Masters Course - March 2009, Cape Town, South Africa
    Dr. Florman was an invited faculty member at the University of Cape Town Cervical Spine Masters Course in March. He has a longstanding relationship with the neurosurgery department at the University of Cape Town that began a decade ago when he spent 3 months doing neurosurgery there during his residency. The course was conceived by Dr. Florman and his friend Dr. Davis Welsh, who is the head of spine surgery at the University of Cape Town and was a guest of Dr. Florman's at MMC a few years ago for a few weeks. The spine course provided a needed opportunity for about 50 South African spine surgeons with some traveling up to 1000 miles to attend. Dr. Florman presented on topics dealing mostly with occipito-cervical and upper cervical spinal stabilization.
