Pulmonary & Critical Care
The Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Division at Maine Medical Center cares for patients with both acute and chronic lung conditions as well as intensive care problems. The MMC Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine division provides nationally recognized up-to-date and advanced treatment options for both inpatients and outpatients.

Our teaching physicians hold faculty appointments at the Tufts University School of Medicine and are involved with training medical students, Internal Medicine residents, and clinical fellows. The division runs a 3-year Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). For more information, click here.
The Kjeldgaard Symposium was established in 1986 in remembrance of J. Mark Kjeldgaard, M.D., former Director of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine in the department of Internal Medicine at MMC. For more information, click here.
