Apply & Contact

Applicants who will be seeking appointment to the MMC Residency Program in Urology do so following a minimum of one year of pre-urology general surgery training. Applicants should register with the AUA Urology Residency Matching Program.

We only accept applications through the ERAS electronic application submittal system. Please visit the ERAS website if you would like information on that process.

Applicants will be selected for interviews after a thorough review of their complete applications. One resident per year is selected through the urology match.

A complete application includes the following:

  • ERAS electronic application form
  • Curriculum vitae with statement of personal goals, interests, and accomplishments
  • Dean's letter
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Medical school transcript
  • USMLE scores

The deadline for receipt of 2016 applications is October 1, 2015. We will not review any applications received after this date.

The urology residency committee reviews each applicant's preliminary file and makes a decision whether or not the applicant will be offered an interview, placed on a waiting list, or not be interviewed.

After the preliminary evaluation you will receive a letter from us indicating your status. If you are offered an interview, your letter will give you detailed instructions on how to solidify your interview date with MMC Division of Urology. Since Dean's letters are generally not sent out prior to November 1st, we do not expect your Dean's letter to be part of the initial application.

Interviews for selected applicants will be arranged and confirmed on dates in October through December. During these half-day interviews, candidates attend an introductory group meeting, have 4 individual interviews with members of the Division of Urology, and have an opportunity to meet our current residents and to tour MMC.
