At the Family Birthplace at Stephens Memorial Hospital, we know how you feel . That's why we have created a birthplace where  warmth and comfort are as important as our state-of-the-art facilities and top-notch team that includes board certified physicians and a compassionate and competent nursing staff.

At The Family Birthplace, mothers will experience labor, delivery, recovery and post-birth care in the privacy of their own room.  Other amenities include a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, CD players, cable television with DVD players, and room service.  It is like enjoying all the comforts of home right in the heart of Stephens Memorial Hospital!

At the Family Birthplace, mothers experience labor, delivery, recovery and post-birth care in the privacy of their own room.


There is also plenty of room for your family to join you in a private and comfortable setting.  The Family Room allows additional space for overflow family members to gather and enjoy complimentary snacks and coffee.    
 
As part of the baby friendly hospital initiative,  all of the RNs who work permanently in the Birthplace have become certified Breastfeeding Counselors.  This enables them to be even more of a resource for new moms. 

We offer a variety of educational programs  to help ensure that babies and their families get off to the best start, together.
