Dr. Robert Kahn Joins Western Maine Surgery

Robert C. Kahn, M.D. will become the newest member of the Western Maine Surgery practice on August 1st.  Kahn joins Drs. Fernando Navarro, and Robert Neilson. 

Kahn comes to Maine from North Carolina.  He has practiced at the Roanoke Chowan Surgery Center since 1987 and been an active member of the Roanoke Chowan Hospital since 1982.  Throughout his career at Roanoke Chowan, Kahn has been the chair of the surgery department for a total of 10 years and has been serving as the Chief of Staff of the hospital since 2004; he has also served on the board of directors for the hospital for a number of years. 


Kahn attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania; his internship and residency were at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the department of Surgery.  He was also a resident at Harrisburg Polyclinic Medical Center.  Kahn is Board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons. 

The medical staff at Stephens Memorial Hospital is excited to welcome Dr. Kahn to practice.  He, in turn, looks forward to joining the western Maine community with his wife, Irina.
