Top%20Rural%20Hospital%202014.jpgTimothy A. Churchill, President and CEO, is pleased to announce that Stephens Memorial Hospital received the 2014 Leapfrog Top Rural Hospital award at a ceremony on December 2, 2014 in Washington, D.C. 

This is the third time (2009, 2013 and 2014) and two consecutive years that Stephens Memorial Hospital has been named as a Leapfrog Top Rural Hospital.

Stephens Memorial Hospital was one of 94 Top Hospitals recognized nationally.  This distinguished list includes 24 Top Rural Hospitals, 61 Top Urban Hospitals and 9 Top Children’s Hospitals. Nine rural hospitals in Maine were named 2014 Leapfrog Top Rural Hospitals.
